Making money in the wow auction house can be fairly
basic if you know what you’re doing. Knowing what markets to
target is critical. Without that information, you can lose a
lot of gold extremely fast. Of course, a wow auction house
guide akin to Mayle Winter’s “WoW Auction Mastery” points out the best
markets, but what about the people who can’t afford that
kind of info? For those people, I’d like to point out my 3 best markets for getting gold on the auction house in
World of Warcraft.
1. Gems – The gems required for jewelcrafting are a huge market. Make sure to
keep to the gems that have both PVE and PVP uses. Stamina always
does well, and any gem that increases offensive
capabilities is a constant seller. Resilience does great if you can stock up and list a bunch right when a new arena season landsstartsStay away from stats like parry and mana regen.
2. Rare Recipes – You’ll come across these on the auction house all the time at much lower prices than they should be. Consult with
WoWhead and find out how much they are worth, and if they are underpriced,
buy them up and relist them. It’s an easy strategy to make
a large amount of gold in one auction.
3. Event items – Items such as small eggs, glasses of milk, or anything else that is
required in a repeating in-game event. Stockpile these in advance, and then dump them at inflated prices for a
huge infusion of gold.
Those 3 markets should give you a big head start in the wow auction house. If you
can’t make gold in those markets, you should probably stick to grinding or daily quests!
